POM-tastic!

Poms are such a cute and inexpensive way to create hanging decorations. My friend wants me to make a couple for her daughters 1st birthday party! I've made some for a Bridal shower a while ago and they turned out great! Soo Incredibly EASY! I used it to frame the head table.

Check out this YouTube Video for instructions on how to make these lovely POMS!

Shades of Purple!

This is the final DIY for Baby Sis's Personals Shower. Good news! It's really easy! What's really IN right now is the ombre effect! This is when shades of color go from dark to light, really simple, cool, and easy! Because Baby Sis's color theme is purple I decided to adorn the table with an ombre effect centerpiece!

To make this ombre effect centerpiece all I did was buy a couple different shades of purple carnations and arrange them from dark to light on each end. The very ends are actually white hydrangea spray painted a light purple color. Loved how this piece turned out!

Just an FYI, purple carnations are a bit expensive, so in order to save cost you can buy floral spray paints in shades of purple and buy white carnations. Great money saver tip!

Here ya go! a complete display of the table for Baby Sis's Personal Shower. Do you notice the Ruffle votives from last week? ;-)

Hope you liked the last touch of simplicity for Baby Sis's Party! Here are a couple other pics of the ombre effect in full swing!

Rocking the Ruffle

Welcome back to my Second reveal of a DIY for Baby Sis's Personal Shower! click here for DIY reveal #1

Votive Candles are always an accessory to any party. They set the mood and offer a feeling of warmth and comfort. Well, I was sick of the same old boring NAKED  candles and decided to dress them up a bit for Baby Sis's exciting occasion. I decided, why not ROCK the  RUFFLE?!?!

Take a Naked Candle and Dress it up by lining the top of the votive with double stick tape and stick the Ruffles to it! ... great way to Rock any party.

Now that we have the mood set ... lets rock out to some Buble while you create your own Rockin Ruffle Votive ;-)  See you next week for the final DIY project reveal for Baby Sis's Personal Shower!

I want S'MORE please!

What a BUSY WEEKEND! Baby Sis's PERSONAL SHOWER was a success! One of the main attractions was our DESSERT TABLE.

Dessert consisted of S'MORES! All I used was a basic white pasta bowl poured in whole coffee beans (the smell was delightful!) and put in 3 gel sterno's

The ingredients I had out for the S'Mores consisted of the basics: Graham Crackers, Hershey's chocolate, and marshmallows BUT you can always get creative and put out your own ingredients!

Everyone L<3VED the expeience of roasting their mallows and building their delicious treats!
